The FH Early Career Scientists Board (ECSB)

The FH ECSB represents the early career scientists (ECS) and advises the director of the FH division. 

The ECSB should:

• identify issues/concerns that affect ECS and bring them forward
• develop ideas for and/or organise events that are of interest for ECS
• serve as a sounding board for the FH director on decisions that affect ECS
• engage the ECS to take an active part in the development of ideas at DESY, in HEP or beyond
• liaise i.e. with the DOIT, YHEP and ECFA ECR fora
• maintain a webpage that helps newcomers get oriented
• develop an "onboarding process" that helps newcomers find social contacts

 

The ECSB is composed of postdocs and students from the various research groups within FH. The members are elected within the respective research groups and normally have a term of two years.
